About ZACODE
Empowering Zambia Through Distance Education Since 1964
Our History
ZACODE was established on 8th May 1964 as a correspondence unit under Evelyn Hone College of Applied Arts in Lusaka.
In November 1965, the institution was relocated to Luanshya and became known as Luanshya Correspondence College.
In 1976, it was renamed the National Correspondence College (NCC).
As education continued to evolve and new technologies emerged, the institution underwent reforms to modernize distance learning delivery.
In the year 2000, the institution officially became the Zambia College of Distance Education (ZACODE).
Today, ZACODE continues to play a vital role in Zambia’s education system by providing flexible and inclusive learning opportunities to thousands of learners.
